The Stratford Library, 2203 Main Street in Stratford will be closed on Monday, February 15, 2010 in observation of the Presidents’ Day holiday. The library will reopen on Tuesday, February 16th at 10 a.m.

Baszile’s memoir about growing up black in an affluent white Los Angeles neighborhood explores the themes of race relations, family dynamics and the American dream. “Art Expressions by Harry L. Green”, a collection of new paintings by the African-American artist, will be the February art exhibit. The display is in conjunction with the nationwide observation of “Black History Month” and the Library’s own celebration of “One Book, One Stratford”. It is the Bridgeport artist’s first appearance at the library. The exhibit is free and open to the public. More information...
